David is a Founding Partner of Caisson, sits on its Management Committee and oversees the overall business direction of the firm with a particular focus on equity raising and acquisitions.
David began his career at DTZ in 1994, and after qualification moved to Drivers Jonas (now Deloitte Real Estate) where he specialised in investment agency and debt/equity raising.
In 1997 he joined Babcock & Brown, the Australian investment group to set up their UK Real Estate Team. David was a Board Director of a number of Babcock & Brown’s investment vehicles and was a Managing Director of the Group’s overall European investment holding companies in Malta and Luxembourg. He initially focused on UK PFI/development transactions helping to create a £750m plus portfolio which was subsequently listed on the LSE in 2006. From 2002 he helped expand the team’s property investment activities raising equity for four unlisted UK funds with assets totalling £150m. In 2004 he identified the growing opportunity in Central Europe and established the Central & Eastern Europe Real Estate Team, subsequently acquiring assets totalling £250m, including investment assets in Poland, Czech Republic and the Baltic States, plus a number of development schemes across the region, including Turkey.
His core skills include equity raising, transaction origination, investment analysis and transaction execution. David qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1995 and was educated at London South Bank University and Hughes Hall, Cambridge.
